About Us | Why Kelly Chambers is proud to be an ALIGNED Advocate
We’re different. That is to say, our exclusive focus on business insurance sets us apart. Certainly, being different is just one of the many reasons why Canadian insurance professionals decide to join the ALIGNED team.
Above all, we’re always proud to welcome new members to our team and share their story. Most importantly, our About Us features are just one example of our commitment to connecting with our community. In the same vein, many of us are sharing useful business insurance content on social media every day.
Kelly Chambers recently joined our growing team. Kelly is an Advocate and works closely with ALIGNED colleagues across Canada.
Kelly is proud to be part of the ALIGNED Insurance team. In her own words, here’s what Kelly has to say about ALIGNED.
Q. Why did you join ALIGNED?
Kelly: I was ready for a new challenge and wanted to work with like-minded insurance professionals who strive to be the best at what they do.
Q. How did you first hear about ALIGNED?
Kelly: Through a broker magazine where CEO Andrew Clark was featured. After that, I continued to follow ALIGNED from afar, until a recruiter reached out to me with this amazing opportunity!
Q. In your opinion, what sets ALIGNED Insurance apart?
Kelly: Everyone who works for ALIGNED is not only passionate about insurance but also driven to increase their own insurance knowledge through continuing education. Therefore, our clients are speaking with some of the best and brightest in the business!
Q. Why did you choose an insurance career?
Kelly: Insurance definitely chose me! Many years ago, a family friend suggested I apply to work in the mailroom of a direct writer. I thought I would give it a shot until I figured out what I wanted to do. Turns out, insurance is exactly what I wanted to do!
Q. Tell us about your most recent professional designations.
Kelly: My most recent designation is my CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) , prior to that I earned my CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) designation.
I’m looking forward to continuing with my ACIP (Advanced Chartered Insurance Professional) or perhaps CRM (Canadian Risk Management) in 2021.
Q. In your career to date, what are you most proud of?
Kelly: Completing my CIP, it was a long process but so worth it! Prior to that, it would have been receiving the honour of a Service Excellence Award.
Q. In your opinion, what’s the single most important service an insurance broker delivers to a client?
Kelly: I think the most important part of being a broker is making the entire insurance process clear, simple and straight forward.
With so many coverage options and complex policy wordings, insurance can be so overwhelming and convoluted. Being able to break this information down into understandable terms for our clients is so rewarding.
Q. Which of ALIGNED’s 18 points of differentiation do you find the most personally meaningful and why?
Kelly: All of the 18 points are very meaningful, but the one that speaks to me the most is capped workloads, this one is so fantastic! With having our work load remain manageable it means we are able to provide excellent service to each of our clients, every time we interact with them!
Our clients are the most important part of this business, so allowing us the time to work with them without feeling rushed is a breath of fresh air!
Being different is a point of pride for every ALIGNED insurance broker and Advocate. And it’s because our founder, president & CEO Andrew Clark wants to deliver different kind insurance broker experience to Canadian business.
Since day one, we’ve taken pride in 18 things that we do differently for our clients. Ultimately, what gives us the most pride is delivering the best solutions and more value to every Canadian business that we support.

Top 10 Under 40 CEO Andrew Clark shares what led him to create ALIGNED Insurance
From Canadian Insurance Top Broker Magazine. After 10 years of working at large brokerages, Clark spotted a gap in the market, and says the name gives it away. “It’s about aligning interests with clients, he says, because “there’s an opportunity there, and I pursued it.”
ALIGNED’s cornerstone is their fee-for-service model, in which they offer clients three levels of service: bronze, silver and gold. “We have a very frank conversation about what service level do they want from their broker… It’s just a very different conversation, which really seems to resonate with clients.”
Clark is active online, writing LinkedIn posts on topics like first-dollar coverage and hold harmless agreements. “Because we’re exclusively B to B, we have a real opportunity to market and communicate in a different way, and that’s really an educational and informational approach.”Andrew Clark, President and CEO, ALIGNED Insurance, Canadian Insurance Top Broker Magazine Top 10 Under 40!
