Jacquee Shukys recently joined our growing team. Jacquee Shukys is an Assistant Advocate and reports to SVP & Team Leader Darcy Franko-Felice. She works closely with ALIGNED colleagues across Canada. Jacquee is proud to be part of the ALIGNED Insurance team. In her own words, here’s what Jacquee has to say about ALIGNED. 

Q. Why did you join ALIGNED?

Jacquee: Once I had read the job posting, I went to ALIGNED’s website. After I read the 18 Great Reasons why organizations are choosing ALIGNED for their business insurance needs, I knew this was a company I wanted to work for. Within a short time working here, I quickly recognized that ALIGNED is truly aligned with my own customer service goals, values and work ethic. 

Q. How did you first hear about ALIGNED?

Jacquee: I first became familiar with ALIGNED when I started working with this insurance brokerage while in a previous position.

Q. In your opinion, what sets ALIGNED Insurance apart?

Jacquee: In my opinion, our fundamental commitment to customer service is what really sets us apart in the marketplace. Since day one, this has been an important focus for everyone at ALIGNED. It gives clients confidence to know that they always have direct access to their Advocate as their primary point of contact.

Q. Why did you choose an insurance career?

Jacquee: I always say that insurance chose me. As a single parent (many moons ago!) I had taken an Accounting Technician course and the school helped find me a job with an insurance brokerage. It was a great fit and my career in insurance evolved from there! I have learned so much over the years from the many experienced Insurance professionals I have had the pleasure to work with.

Q. In your opinion, what’s the single most important service an insurance broker delivers to a client?

Jacquee: I believe the most important thing that we provide to clients is peace of mind. Clients need to know that if a claims situation happens, they will be protected and they will be able to return to “business as usual” before the incident occurred.

Q. Which of ALIGNED’s 18 points of differentiation do you find the most personally meaningful and why?

Jacquee: ALIGNED’s Social Responsibility program really stands out for me. As a single parent, my son was able to participate in a number of corporate social responsibility programs over the years. I really value the opportunity to be part of an organization that is committed to engaging team members and others in regular social responsibility activities.

Social responsibility is yet another way we deliver a different employee and client experience
