As part of our commitment to give regularly, every month an ALIGNED broker selects a Canadian charity of their choice and ALIGNED makes a donation to that organization on their behalf.
In recognition of the great work this charity does in the community and across the country, Ana Alberto selected the The Kidney Foundation of Canada for the month of March, 2018.

“In the 1960s, people with kidney failure had little hope of survival. Dialysis was considered an extraordinary treatment and restricted to very few and transplantation was still experimental. It was during this time that a young Montreal architect, Morty Tarder, died from kidney disease.” The Kidney Foundation of Canada was then created in Montreal by the Tarder family in 1964 in order to raise funds for research.
“In 2014, The Kidney Foundation of Canada celebrated 50 years of helping Canadians living with kidney disease. Today, the Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national health charity committed to kidney health and to improved lives for all people living with kidney disease. Their vision for the future is an enduring legacy of those dedicated volunteers who, 50 years ago, started out with a compelling cause and the resolve to make a difference.”
