Why Ownership Matters – The Ontario Broker Magazine Talks To CEO Andrew Clark

Guelph Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Elects CEO Andrew Clark

Across Canada, the ALIGNED Insurance team is pleased to congratulate President and CEO Andrew Clark on being elected to the Guelph Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Andrew was elected amongst a group of 13 candidates to serve on the 16-member board. “The Guelph Chamber is – first and foremost – a non-profit community benefit organization that functions as the ‘voice of business’ both here in Guelph as well as on the provincial and national stages.”1 Andrew Clark’s appointment to the Guelph Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors took place on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

Andrew shares, “I’m delighted to join the Guelph Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. This important group has a long history – more than 180 years – of serving businesses and addressing current issues that impact the local community.”

The chamber is proud of its long history. In fact, on August 1st, 1827, the formation of the association was announced across Guelph’s print media. The chamber notes that, “almost two hundred years later…our mandate and mission has remained virtually unchanged – to help our community grow and thrive in a sustainable manner.”2

The organization is committed to its mandate and notes that “over the past two centuries, the Guelph Chamber and the community it serves have undergone major change, and yet one thing has remained constant and steadfast: Guelph and its Chamber continue to walk hand-in-hand. With vision, vigour, and novel collaborative approaches to business, we can all look forward two hundred years as equally prosperous ones.”3

CEO Andrew Clark – A Recognized Insurance Leader

Andrew’s election to the Guelph Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is yet another example of industry recognition for ALIGNED Insurance’s President and CEO.  In 2014, Canadian Insurance Top Broker named CEO Andrew Clark as “Top 10 under 40”. After a decade of working at large brokerages, Clark spotted a gap in the market, and the opportunity to better align interests with business insurance clients across Canada. ALIGNED’s fee-for-service model encourages clients to select from three levels of service: bronze, silver or gold and is a cornerstone of the organization.
