Established in 1922 as Calgary’s first animal welfare organization, Calgary Humane Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals connects people and animals while providing unconditional care and services for animals in need.
Calgary Humane Society prides itself on being able to take in thousands of animals every year, with no animals being turned away, no matter how sick or injured they may be.

- Successfully matching thousands of people with their pets with the help of professional adoption counselors
- Providing post-adoption behavior support, including, private consultations, classes and a cost-free help phone line
- Never turning animals away, regardless of their condition
- Being one of the first and only animal shelters in North America that does not euthanize for time
- Providing animals with a lifetime of safety through Calgary Humane Society’s
- Protection and Investigations department

Since 2014, we’ve donated to more than 40 Canadian charities through our social responsibility initiatives. We know it’s a privilege to handle our clients’ insurance needs and that’s why GIVING frequently, consistently and GENEROUSLY is essential to all of us.
Each year, a portion of ALIGNED Insurance profits are donated to a Canadian charity that is nominated by an ALIGNED client. During the Giving Generously campaign, people vote by visiting web pages that ALIGNED builds to celebrate each charity and the great work they do.
Our annual Giving Generously donation is made to the registered Canadian charity that receives the most “votes” which are recorded as web page sessions.
