ALIGNED Insurance Proudly Supports Soldier On
ALIGNED Insurance believes that it is a privilege to handle our clients insurance needs and that it is our corporate social responsibility to give generously and regularly to support the great work charitable and not profits organizations do every day across Canada.
As part of our commitment to give regularly, every month an ALIGNED Advocate selects a Canadian charity of their choice and ALIGNED makes a donation to that organization on their behalf. In recognition of the great work they do and Jeff Snyder selected the Soldier On for the November 2015 donation.
About Soldier On
Soldier On is a Canadian Armed Forces program that supports currently serving members and veterans to overcome their physical or mental health illness or injury through physical activity and sport. The program is a highly visible and integral component of the Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces’ commitment and priority towards providing a comprehensive approach to care for ill and injured members.
Since its inception in 2006, Soldier On has helped more than 1,300 ill and injured members to obtain sporting or recreational equipment, gain access to high-level training from world-class instructors and supported their participation in a wide range of structured activities from alpine skiing to fishing to adventure expeditions. Although their events are primarily focused on sport or other physically challenging activities, promoting an active lifestyle is only part of the mission. Soldier On not only supplies members with equipment and coaches to meet their needs, they also provide members with a safe environment to challenge themselves to get inspired in ways that they may not have thought possible.
This re-introduction to an active lifestyle provides the member with opportunities to develop new skills, build confidence in their abilities and meet peers with similar challenges. Many ill and injured members credit Soldier On with helping them to adapt to their new normal, realize their full potential and Soldier On.
