CEO Andrew Clark – YIP 2016 Young Insurance Professional Finalist
Across Canada, the ALIGNED Insurance team is pleased to congratulate President and CEO Andrew Clarkon being recognized by the Young Insurance Professionals of Toronto (YIPT) as a finalist for the 2016 Young Insurance Professional of the Year award.
This year, “20 professionals were put forward due to their outstanding performance and contributions to the insurance industry.”1 Andrew Clark has been selected as a finalist for an award that will be announced at a special YIPT event on Thursday, November 17, 2016.
With the Young Insurance Professional of the Year award, YIPT seeks to celebrate rising stars within the insurance industry, outstanding individuals who go above and beyond to help their peers as well as show a dedication to their community.2
The group “is a not for profit, Toronto based group that brings together young professionals within the insurance industry. YIPT welcomes those who are looking to benefit their own careers by cultivating a network of insurance connections. Majority of YIPT members are in their 20s and 30s, but we invite all industry professionals to join the growing network that aspires to be Toronto’s networking hub for young insurance professionals.”3

This nomination is yet another example of industry recognition for ALIGNED Insurance’s President and CEO Andrew Clark. Canadian Insurance Top Broker named CEO Andrew Clark as “Top 10 under 40” in 2014. After a decade of working at large brokerages, Clark spotted a gap in the market, and says the name gives it away. It’s about aligning interests with clients, he says, because “there’s an opportunity there, and I pursued it.” ALIGNED’s cornerstone is their fee-for-service model, in which they offer clients three levels of service: bronze, silver and gold. “We have a very frank conversation about what service level do they want from their broker… It’s just a very different conversation, which really seems to resonate with clients.” 4
