ALIGNED Proudly Supports The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario

ALIGNED Insurance believes that it is a privilege to handle our clients’ insurance needs and that it is our corporate social responsibility to give generously and regularly to support the great work charitable and non-profits organizations do every day across Canada.

As part of our commitment to give regularly, every month an ALIGNED Advocate selects a Canadian charity of their choice and ALIGNED makes a donation to that organization on their behalf. In recognition of the great work they do, Laura Van Vliet has selected the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario for the month of July, 2017.

More About The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario

The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario works to guarantee access to cancer care for all of Ontario’s children. POGO’s mission is to improve the circumstances of all children who are afflicted with cancer, as well as their families. As a collaboration of care providers and sponsors, the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario plans for provincial needs and coordination, and is the official resource to Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care on children’s cancer control and treatment.

“The POGO collaboration is a model childhood cancer system that secures equitable access to care and the best possible outcomes for children with cancer, and serves as the provincial government’s official source of information on planning and caring for children with cancer.

The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario relies on the commitment of a world-class group of thought leaders, multidisciplinary professionals, researchers and other supporters representing the institutions and organizations across Ontario that deliver care to children with cancer.

The POGO vision is achieved through gathering, analyzing and sharing accurate data, providing ongoing professional development and other educational opportunities, conducting childhood cancer research, and providing essential supports for children, survivors and families.”1
