Peter Kicinski recently joined our growing team. Peter is an Advocate and reports to SVP Darcy Franko-Felice. He works closely with ALIGNED colleagues across Canada.
Peter is proud to be part of the ALIGNED Insurance team. In his own words, here’s what Peter has to say about ALIGNED.
Q. Why did you join ALIGNED?
Peter: After about 7 years of working as a Commercial Broker I decided to try the Underwriting side of the industry. After about 14 months as an Underwriter it became clear that Underwriting wasn’t for me.
And after speaking with Andrew Clark & other members of the ALIGNED family, deciding to join ALIGNED was an easy decision. Our core values & business philosophy of taking care of our clients first and foremost was a major deciding factor in taking this next step in my career.
Q. How did you first hear about ALIGNED?
Peter: I’ve been connected with Andrew Clark on Linkedin for the last 5 years. I’ve known about ALIGNED Insurance from the regular blog posts that Andrew shares.
Q. In your opinion, what sets ALIGNED Insurance apart?
Peter: There is a strong sense of professionalism and ambition among the team. The entire team is not only passionate about what they do but they also have a great deal of education & knowledge. As a result, our clients are dealing with top insurance professionals.
Q. Why did you choose an insurance career?
Peter: I fell into the industry after almost going back to school full time. I was in search of a new career; my girlfriend at the time was a broker and suggested giving this a try.
Being an insurance broker has been a very rewarding career, I have worked with some truly talented bright professionals that helped me mature and grow in this industry on a personal & professional level.
Q. Tell us about your most recent professional designations.
Peter: I am currently working on obtaining my CIP designation (Chartered Insurance Professional) & will be obtaining the CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) shortly after.
Q. In your career to date, what are you most proud of?
Peter: I am very proud of the relationships I have developed over the years with clients, insurance companies and colleagues. I have made lifelong friends within the industry and I look forward to forging new relationships while at my role with ALIGNED Insurance.
Q. In your opinion, what’s the single most important service an insurance broker delivers to a client?
Peter: Expertise. Unless you work in the insurance industry, most people’s knowledge is very basic on the subject. Having an Insurance broker on your side to help you navigate the world of insurance is invaluable when it comes to protecting your business.
Q. Which of ALIGNED’s 18 points of differentiation do you find the most personally meaningful and why?
Peter: The point that stick out the most to me is the capped workloads, work as a broker can be fast paced with many moving parts. Having a capped workload allows brokers to be more diligent and provide much better service to our clients on every interaction without feeling rushed in the process and as a result helps build stronger client relationships.
Being different is a point of pride for every ALIGNED insurance broker and Advocate. And it’s because our founder, president & CEO Andrew Clark wants to deliver different kind insurance broker experience to Canadian business.
