“To join with others in a cause” may be how a dictionary defines the word ALIGNED…but to us, it has an even deeper meaning. We believe it’s important to do more than just deliver insurance that’s ALIGNED to your needs…
This is why, since day one, we’ve ALIGNED our social responsibility activities with charities across Canada! As part of that commitment, our annual Give Generously campaign delivers a $2,000 donation to the Canadian charity that is nominated by our clients and most resonates with our community of supporters.
I’m very pleased to announce that NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank is our 2019 Give Generously charity!
NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank provides pasteurized human milk to premature and ill babies. The charity engages milk donors, advocates for sick babies and delivers a community-based solution for babies in need. The story of how NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank grew from an idea to become Canada’s only community-based milk bank can be found here.
From June to August, we were overwhelmed with interest and clicks for each of the 21 nominated charities. Grandview Children’s Centre, Hillside Festival, Ottawa Humane Society and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada were all very popular nominees and the results were close!
